Idles comparte un nuevo vídeo de animación para el tema Kill Them With Kindness. El clip, dirigido y diseñado por James Carbutt y animado por Pip Williamson. Este es uno de los cortes más destacados de su nuevo álbum Ultra Mono.
El director ha dicho sobre el vídeo: “El escenario de pub sucio en el video está basado en los Working Men’s Clubs de mi ciudad (Barnsley). Fue agradable imaginar a Idles entrando y difundiendo un mensaje de amor. Durante nuestra investigación descubrimos que no hay dos tapetes de Wetherspoons iguales, todos son únicos, como copos de nieve, así que hacer este video fue algo salvaje”.
Ultra Mono se grabó en París, con producción por Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire) y Adam ‘Atom’ Greenspan (Anna Calvi, Cut Copy), siendo concebido para capturar la sensación de un disco de hip-hop. Desde su sello discográfico nos comentan que “a través de las 12 canciones brutalmente relevantes, la banda dobla el desprecio vitriólico y el comentario social franco de su trabajo anterior, con temas de presencia activa, inclusión, clase, género, desigualdad, nacionalismo, comunidad y masculinidad tóxica”.
